The ICP Guide

Toniq Labs is an impressive group building on the IC.

They built the first non-NNS ICP wallet on the IC called Stoic Wallet.

They created what may become a major part of the Internet Computer standard in the EXT extendable token standard.

They created a token tool that allows anyone to create their own IC tokens and send them to friends via Stoic Wallet.

They created a wrapped Trillion cycles token (WTC) so that it can be traded in a wallet on the IC.

And finally... (I know, they have quite the list of accomplishments already) they are building an NFT critter game on the Internet Computer

A few interesting points about cronics as NFTs on the IC:

  • There will only be 25,000 (MAX) Generation 0 cronics. The rest will be bred on chain.
  • You can breed cronics on chain to create new generations of cronics. Traits are passed from parents to children using randomness, dominant, and recessive traits
  • You have to feed and interact to keep your cronics happy

So this resembles crypto kitties on Ethereum but with cronics on the IC.

They are giving away the first 5,000 cronics to anyone that donates at least 0.2 ICP to their TipCan. 0.2 ICP is around $8 USD right now, and is probably the cheapest you will ever be able to get a cronic (I'm assuming when they sell more later via auctions they will be priced higher).

Enter your wallet address (be sure to use Stoic Wallet), get your donation address, send more than 0.2 ICP to the donation address (0.2 works), and then click the "Claim Gift" button that shows up after donation to get your cronic. Just a reminder, the NNS is incompatible right now so use Stoic Wallet.

All of the Critter features are equally likely except for the rare animated ones. A spinning cronic occurs ~5.8% of the time, and a pulsating cronic occurs ~2.9% of the time.

Feel free to reply directly to this email with any questions and I am happy to answer them. They only give out free cronic gifts for the first 5,000 donations, so if you are going to do it, you should do it soon.
